FLeeF’s Second Life Sojourn
Nov 17th, 2007 by Frank Fox
After a few months of absence, I recently made a return trip into Second Life using the WindLight client. I could not believe how beautiful the landscape is with the new client. I thought I’d spend a few hours playing with it and that would be it. I got hooked. The next day I went back in and started burning up my hard drive space with in-world captures. This is the result:
A Second Life music video as seen through the eyes of the WindLight client and featuring a song “From Agnes, Flowers” I wrote back in 2005 for my mom. I hope you watch and enjoy. Please let me know what you think.

Nice film, Frank. I enjoyed the journey. Been interested in Windlight and your film is a swell introduction. Some amazing visual effect. The song is sweet; your mom must have been very happy.

Man, it really is stunningly beautiful. Thanks for doing this!
Great captures, love the snow scenes especially.
Very nicely put together indeed, and I did enjoy that backing track. I’d probably concur with Kate above that the snowy scenes caught me particularly, but it’s a superb demonstration of WindLight, and a teaser as to the wonderful diversity of SL.
Any chance of a high quality HD version?
this is one of the greatest.the song goes well, agnes must be proud
Great video! And the music just wonderful! Congrats on both.
Leave you here a link for a HD video made also “in” windlight by my dear friend Halden Beaumont http://stage6.divx.com/user/hugoalmeda/video/1856742/WindLight-in-Second-Life—Portucalis—HDV
And Porsupah Ree is right.. you should bring this to HD
Thank you all for the feedback (you too, mom!). As far as a high definition version, I guess only a few people have noticed. It’s not only on the Films page of this web site but it is on Stage6 as well.
